[vc_row][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1528358091225{padding-top: 8px !important;}”][vc_column_text]Ear wax is a common cause of hearing aid malfunction. Through daily use, ear wax can enter a hearing aid’s sound outlet (the part of the hearing aid that fits in the ear canal) and partially or completely block the passage of sound.
A hearing aid wax guard or filter is a small screen (usually made of plastic) that sits in the sound outlet.
Designed to prevent wax, moisture, or other debris from entering the sound outlet and damaging the speaker, a good wax guard or filter is highly recommended to improve the durability of a hearing aid.
NOTE: Wax Guards or Filters do not eliminate the need for daily cleaning procedures.
